by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us” Romans 5:5

Children Department
Counselling groups:

Using drawings, children tell their stories and express their feelings. As children share their experiences, counselors use similar stories picked from the Bible just to show them that others also went through same struggles. After the sharing, they take time to pray for each other and the session ends with a watching of an educational movie or a play of different games.
Gate of Hope focuses on orphans, those who have parents that were involved in genocide, those who are infected or affected by HIV/AIDS. Individual counseling is also offered for children and adults.

Tutoring after school: Some groups of children go to school in the morning and other groups in the after noon. Gate of hope organizes activities to keep the children safe and busy.

Visitation in the children homes, help our staff to minister to their parents/guardians.

Rabbit project:
Additionally to counseling, tutoring, and games, children learn how to do projects at their level such as rabbit project. This year, 20 children received two rabbits to takes care of and which help makes money by selling the babies from the received rabbits.

Child care and kindergarten:
To help the women who attend the sewing school and those who go out for different jobs, Gate of support a kindergarten at Gasabo center where the sewing school is located.

Children learn the Biblical truth, Christian songs, and hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ from the early age. They are also prepared for primary education.

Scholarship:
It is difficult for the parents to send their children to school. It becomes more challenging to send adopted children and girls in particular to school because of lack of money, help needed around the house, including taking care of younger siblings.

Gate of Hope Ministries International supports parents or guardians who are willing to let the children go to school by providing tuition.
