Gate of Hope Ministries International

Gate of Hope Ministries International is a non-profit organization incorporated in the state of Kentucky.

We exists to build up Africans, by equipping and empowering individuals with skills and tools to nurture and expand the Christian hope for the holistic transformation of the African community.

Background

The idea of starting a non-denominational Organization came in the aftermath of the war in Rwandan Civil war, which started in 1990 and culminated with the genocide of 1994.The war devastated the country, took countless lives, left behind thousands of widows and orphans, increased poverty in a country that was already poor, and caused hunger and malnutrition to this day. The plague of HIV/AIDS worsens the situation and claims even more human lives than the war itself.

The situation is not happening in Rwanda only but through many other African countries. The resulting hardship led our family to start Gate of Hope Ministries to enable people become spiritually, socially, and economically vibrant.
Strategy

Gate of Hope Ministries collaborates with individuals, groups, existing churches, ministries and organizations. It also initiates new efforts where there are needs, serving often time as a catalyst.

Goals

Gate of Hope Ministries goals are:

  • Implement holistic discipleship programs among the people of all ages.
  • Empower identified individuals with livelihood skills
  • Equip branded church and community leaders
  • Educate individuals and families about health and wellness
  • Counsel the traumatized, the HIV/AIDS affected, and the hopeless
